Newell Corporation is currently hiring a Tool Crib Attendant to join our growing team in Arlington, WA.

What You’ll Do:

As a Tool Crib Attendant, you are responsible for managing, issuing, and maintaining tools, equipment, and supplies required for production operations. This role ensures that all tooling is properly stored, tracked, and maintained to support efficient manufacturing processes.

Tool Crib Attendant Responsibilities:

  • Issue and receive tools, equipment, and consumables to production personnel.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or computerized systems.
  • Ensure tools are returned in good condition and report any damage or loss.
  • Monitor stock levels, write purchase orders, reorder tools and supplies, and work with vendors to ensure supplies arrive in a timely manner.
  • Maintain proper labeling and organization of tool crib storage areas.
  • Inspect tools for wear, damage, or calibration needs in accordance with quality standards before issuing.
  • Sharpen tools with drill sharpener, coordinate repairs or replacements with vendors or internal maintenance teams, and inspect outgoing and incoming tools.
  • Prepare reports on tool usage, shortages, and maintenance activities.
  • Operate equipment, including but not limited to forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks, in loading, unloading, moving, or storing materials as required.
  • Interface with programming to ensure proper tools are kitted for jobs.
  • Adhere to schedule set by managers to ensure tools are kitted and ready for machines when starting production.
  • Promote a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in machining, tooling, or manufacturing inventory
  • Experience in a tool crib or with manufacturing tooling
  • Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail
  • Ability to lift and move tools and equipment up to 40 pounds
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Competent using Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and machinery

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
