What You’ll Do:

As a CNC Lathe Machinist at Newell, you’ll be a key player in our precision manufacturing operations. You will:

  • Operate CNC lathe machines, including Fanuc (or similar) controls, to produce complex parts with high precision.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate machining.
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining and machining parameters.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in part inspection, assembly, or secondary operations as needed.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of production runs and machine logs in compliance with quality standards.

 

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience operating CNC lathes or completion of related technical training program.
  • Knowledge of G-code & M-code editing.
  • Ability to read blueprints and apply GD&T principles for precise manufacturing.
  • Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot machine issues promptly.

Shift Schedules:

  • 1st Shift: 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., Monday-Thursday
  • Weekend Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Friday-Sunday

Pay & Perks:

  • Competitive Pay: $25–$45/hour (plus 10% shift differential for 2nd and Weekend shifts)
