CNC Machinists

Newell Corporation is currently hiring CNC Machinists for 1st, 2nd, and Weekend Shifts in our Mill and Lathe departments in Arlington, WA.

CNC Machinist job duties:

  • Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.
  • Modify G-code and M-code.
  • Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
  • Check machinery daily to guarantee functionality.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process and optimize programs for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicate logistical issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
  • Ensure that the results of the machining process align with specifications.
  • Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.
  • Journey-level CNC machinists will create NC programs for CNC Mills and/or Lathes to ensure customer requirements are met.

CNC Machinist Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years’ CNC set up and operation experience
  • Familiarity with G & M code
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM programs such as Mastercam/NX/FeatureCAM
  • Experience selecting and monitoring holders and cutting tools to complete machining operations
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gages and calipers to inspect components during setup and in process.
  • Large Mill or Lathe experience a plus

Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m., Monday-Thursday
  • Weekend Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Friday-Sunday

Pay Range: $25/hr - $45/hr
