Newell Corporation is currently hiring a Senior Project Engineer to join our growing team in Arlington, WA. What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Project Engineer at Newell Corp, you will quote and manage machining and fabrication projects from inception to delivery. You will also drive our project management process and maintain positive relationships with customers.

 

Senior Project Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Quote complex fabrication, machining, and assembly projects
  • Determine the necessary resources for each project
  • Create detailed project plans with relevant team members from engineering, fabrication, and machining
  • Perform detailed analyses and progress reports for relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
  • Formulate project parameters and interact with clients
  • Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and report on project status
  • Review engineering tasks and initiate the necessary project actions
  • Develop specifications for project equipment and materials.
  • Create framework to measure the project metrics and data collection.
  • Establish test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.
  • Ensure project compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications

 

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar
  • 8+ years of experience using CAD software such CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience managing projects that require complex fabrication, machining, and assembly
  • Experience with Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience validating engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance to company and industry standards
  • Industry design documentation standards experience
